American Express Middle East and North Africa held an awards ceremony to honor employees who have exhibited superior customer service earlier this week. The company recognized more than 80 of their 500 employees for their individual contributions during the American Express Service Excellence Awards held at the Al Bander Resort in Bahrain. Awards were given out based on quality, service, trust, integrity, reliability and attentiveness and a total of 84 employees from five departments received awards.
William Keliehor, Chief Executive Officer, American Express Middle East and North Africa, commented on the ceremony saying, "American Express is known throughout the region for providing value and unparalleled service to Card members. This reputation is founded on the hard work and dedication of our hundreds of employees in the Middle East and North Africa. I am delighted that as a company we have been able to recognize their outstanding contribution in delivering exceptional customer service."
Mohamed Danish, Chief Talent Officer, American Express Middle East and North Africa, also commented on the matter saying, "The Service Excellence Awards recognize the commitment and energy shown by employees in meeting the needs of Card members. Each recipient is a true ambassador of the company, and has been integral to the success of American Express MENA during the past year."
American Express Cards are accepted at millions of locations in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. They have had a presence in the Middle East and North Africa since the last 1950s and currently operate in 18 markets in the region.
