MasterCard and Intel may soon take on a whole different approach when it comes to purchases.
MasterCard has teamed up with Intel to create a unique chip-based payment option that would be integrated into laptops to bring this type of security to online shoppers. There will be no way for hackers or malware to obtain the information with this type of technology and the benefits are looking to be quite useful.
The partnership will allow the combination of MasterCard’s PayPass technology and Intel’s Identity Protection Technology to make shopping online extremely secure as well as fast.
“MasterCard is constantly working to improve the shopping experience for consumers and merchants,” said the Chief Emerging Payments Officer of MasterCard, Ed McLaughlin. “The collaboration with Intel will deliver enhanced security and faster checkout – with the convenience of a simple click or tap.”
The General Manager of PC Client Services Division at Intel, George Thangadurai, is also extremely satisfied with the deal saying, “Online commerce is a key focus area for Intel, and through this partnership with MasterCard, we intend to deliver an innovative, personalized and safer e-commerce experience to consumers.”
