In an annual assessment provided by Javelin Strategy and Research, Discover is the best credit card company when it comes to resolving identity fraud issues. This marks the second consecutive year that Discover has earned this achievement of placing first in this important category.
The safety scorecard Javelin has been using for seven years to evaluate the top 23 card issuers when it comes to identity fraud prevention, detection and resolution is based on issuer website research and customer service representative phone calls. Another major achievement for Discover is that it also ranked second overall among all categories and issuers.
"Discover is continually monitoring and adapting to the latest criminal trends related to credit card fraud in order to protect our cardmembers," remarked Carlos Minetti, Discover’s president of consumer banking and operations. "We take pride in our resolution services as it shows our commitment to quickly restoring the accounts of our valued customers."
