A senior care business is down two employees this week due to reports of credit card theft related to patients that were being cared for by the company’s home healthcare providers. Two women allegedly stole from the homes of the patients they visited and then used the credit cards to buy whatever they pleased.

One of the women was arrested by police on Thursday but the other criminal is still on the run from law enforcement. Anna Marie Brooks, 24, of Florence was taken into custody and later released after being charged with four counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and one count of second-degree theft of property. The other woman, Haley Jean Overton, also 24 is wanted on 12 counts of fraudulent purchases and one count of third-degree theft of property.

The woman together spent more than $1300 on the stolen cards, one of which was the property of a patient’s deceased wife. They bought gas, shoes, cigarettes, liquor, a television, clothing, and even paid a bill.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Overton is asked to call the police at 256-768-2728.
